Masterclass: Daniel Weissberg (composer), "Participatory Composition"
The topic is composing with participatory interaction models as I have developed them in recent years and used them in my works. One example is Convert Ego, which premiered in 2018 with Ernesto Molinari and Ensemble Vertigo and will be worked on in a new version this summer at the Darmstadt Summer Courses, among others.
During the workshop, participants can gain experience with simple models and discuss ideas for developing their own. If this results in an initiative for a collective project for the next festival, this is very welcome.
